His Right Hand Man

Rod~ Suffice to say, he's the manliest person I've EVER drawn. lol! This is also the first time I've drawn him, so I think I did pretty darn good For some reason, Rod×Mello is actually one of my favourite pairings...I'm not sure why though since I don't think Rod is gay in any way, shape, or form. o_0 I think it's just cause Mello looks so....whorish in his mafia days. But NOOOO, I do not believe anyone here has feelings for the other, it's about sex and control. *nod*

Anyway, I started drawing this a few weeks ago, and began to colour it, but I really hated my colouring style. I halted all progress after trying to finish it four times and just left it with base colours for a while. Randomly yesterday, I began to colour it again with a different colouring style. I must say, I like this colouring style. It was fun, though it took forever. In total, the picture took me around 42 hours (including the sketch, linework, and just the last colouring attempt), and used around 250 layers...I like layers, okay?! Don't judge me! lol

I'm...pretty pleased with it now, but it's still not what I imagined. I need to practice my colouring style a bit to get it looking smoother in spots and to lessen up all those harsher dark spots where it looks grungy. I'll get it right eventually, though.

Ummm, and yeah, thoughts? (On the art plz, I know the pairing is frightening lol)
